Focus and Scope

International Journal of Perceptions in Public Health is a peer-reviewed open access online-only journal. It publishes high quality original scientific papers, critical and relevant reviews, systematic reviews, methodological papers, theoretical research, editorial, short communications and case reports related to any domain and discipline of public health. Only those manuscripts the contents of which have not been published and are not being considered for publication in any other journal are considered for publication.  IJPPH is a quarterly journal that publishes in March, June, September and December in a year. There is no article processing charge.

Open Access Policy

The journal provides immediate open access to it’s on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. All articles published by IJPPH are made freely and permanently accessible online. All articles will be assigned a DOI number (Digital Object Identifier) whereby they become searchable and citable without delay.

Plagiarism Policy

The authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works and none of the parts of manuscripts is plagiarized from any other source. Proper reference should be provided whenever anything is extracted from a source. If any article is proved to be plagiarized, IJPPH editorial board would take immediate and strict action against the authors ranging from rejection of the manuscript to preclusion of the authors from any future publication in the journal.

Editorial Process

The manuscripts will be reviewed for possible publication with the understanding that they are being submitted to one journal at a time and have not been published, simultaneously submitted or already accepted for publication elsewhere. The editors will review all submitted manuscripts that are in accordance with the guidelines of IJPPH.  Manuscripts with insufficient originality, serious scientific and technical flaws, or lacking a significant message are rejected.  If good articles are written poorly then the authors are requested to re- submit after revision according to the IJPPH format.  All manuscripts received are duly acknowledged. They are sent to two expert reviewers without revealing the identity of the contributors.

The IJPPH editors review each manuscript meticulously based on the comments from the reviewers and make a final decision to either reject or publish it. The contributors will be informed about the reviewers’ comments, acceptance or rejection of the manuscript. Articles accepted will be copy edited for grammar, punctuation, print style and format. Page proofs will be sent to the corresponding author, which has to be returned to the editorial office within seven days. Non-response may delay the publication of the article or even result in being rejected.

Peer Review Process               

All manuscripts are subject to peer review and are expected meet to meet standards of excellence. Reviews are double- blind, that is, the identity of the author is not known to the reviewer and vice versa. Authors are requested to suggest the names, affiliations and contact information, including an email address of 3-4 individuals who may be suitable to serve as reviewers.

Before being sent to reviewers, manuscripts are pre-screened by the editor to check that manuscripts are in line with IJPPH submission criteria. If the manuscript does not fulfill the criteria, it may be rejected at this stage without review.

Open access authors retain the copyrights of their papers and all open access articles are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License, which permits unrestricted use, distribution and reproduction in any medium, provided that the original work is properly cited.

Publication Ethics

 IJPPH maintains a strict policy against predatory publication or any form of ethical or unprofessional practice that may lead to the appearance of misdemeanor and failure of duty a publisher.

Privacy Statement

 The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
