Open Access Policy
The journal provides immediate open access to its contents on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. All articles published by IJPPH are made freely and permanently accessible online. Users have the right to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link to the full text of articles in this journal and to use them for any other lawful purpose. All articles will be assigned a DOI number (Digital Object Identifier) whereby they become searchable and citable without delay.
The authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works and none of the parts of manuscripts is plagiarized from any other source. Proper reference should be provided whenever anything is extracted from a source. If any article is proved to be plagiarized, IJPPH editorial board would take immediate and strict action against the authors ranging from rejection of the manuscript to preclusion of the authors from any future publication in the journal. Turnitin software is used to check each submission for plagiarism to prevent unethical practices.
The manuscripts will be reviewed for possible publication with the understanding that they are being submitted to one journal at a time and have not been published, simultaneously submitted or already accepted for publication elsewhere. The editors will review all submitted manuscripts that are in accordance with the guidelines of IJPPH. Manuscripts with insufficient originality, serious scientific and technical flaws, or lacking a significant message are rejected. If good articles are written poorly then the authors are requested to resubmit after revision according to the IJPPH format. All manuscripts received are duly acknowledged. They are sent to two expert reviewers without revealing the identity of the contributors.
The IJPPH editors review each manuscript meticulously based on the comments from the reviewers and make a final decision to either reject or publish it. The contributors will be informed about the reviewers’ comments, acceptance or rejection of the manuscript. Articles accepted will be copy edited for grammar, punctuation, print style and format. Page proofs will be sent to the corresponding author, which has to be returned to the editorial office within seven days. Non-response may delay the publication of the article or even result in being rejected.
Peer Review Process
All manuscripts are subject to peer review and are expected to meet standards of excellence. Reviews are double-blind, that is, the identity of the author is not known to the reviewer and vice versa. Authors are requested to suggest the names, affiliations and contact information, including an email address of 3-4 individuals who may be suitable to serve as reviewers.
Before being sent to reviewers, manuscripts are pre-screened by the editor to check that manuscripts are in line with IJPPH submission criteria. If the manuscript does not fulfil the criteria, it may be rejected at this stage without review.
